Prostate Cancer Symptoms
Prostate cancer occurs due to the uncontrollable growth of the prostate cells. Prostate glands in men enlarge as they grow older. This is normally because of the tumors that are benign and malignant.
The symptoms of these tumors are: rushing to the toilet to urinate, difficulty in urinating, pain while passing urine and blood in the semen or urine.
The common prostate cancer symptoms include:
1. A need to urinate often, especially during nights.
2. Difficult to urinate or hold it back as the urethra passes through the prostate. This may also be caused due to the prostatic hyperplasia. As the tumor grows it presses on the urethra which makes the flow of urine difficult.
3. Painful ejaculation and difficulty in erection which is caused due to the growth of the prostate gland is also a prostate cancer symptom. There might be a sudden onset of impotence. Less semen is also seen during ejaculation.
4. Burning urination and chronic pain
5. Frequent pain in the lower back, hips, abdomen or thighs.

In advanced stages, the prostate cancer if metastasizes to the pelvic bones or the pelvic bones. The prostate cancer symptoms found are:

As the tumor grows and advances to the other areas the symptoms of prostate cancer generally are:
1. The tumor might block the flow of urine leading to the enlarged urinary bladder which is quite painful.
2. If the cancer spreads to the liver it might cause severe pain in the abdomen and cause jaundice. If the cancer spreads to the lungs it might cause chest pain and coughing.
