Breast Cancer Symptoms




Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer in the world and the fifth most common cause of death due to cancers. It can happen to anyone either male or female because the tissues which make up the breasts are same in both male and female. But it is more common among women than men. Breast cancer symptoms are more likely to develop in the women having age between 45 and 55 years.

The percentage of people dieing due to breast cancer is increasing continuously due to modernization of lifestyles in western countries. Its frequency is more in developed countries rather than in under developed countries. Cancer that affects the tissues of breast is known as breast cancer. It may affect either the glands which make up the milk, the lobules or the tube which takes milk to the nipples, the ducts. Breast cancer is one of the most dangerous diseases in the world. But it can be treated properly if diagnosed in earlier stages. In a survey it is estimated that around 20,200 American women died due to breast cancer last year and it is expected to increase with time.

The most common breast cancer symptoms ever found is the presence of lump near the nipples or in the tissues surrounding the breasts. The breast or the nipples may feel differently due to this lump. Lump may also appear in the underarm area. Nipples may get more tinder.

A change in the looks of the breast or nipples can be felt. The size or shape of the breasts may change. Dimpling of the skin of the breasts can be felt. Nipples may go inside the breasts. The skin around the nipples may get red, scaly or swollen. Nipples may start discharging some fluid.

Most of these changes are painless, but you should see your doctor if you find any of these changes in yourself. Other common breast cancer symptoms include itching, tickling, increased sensitivity, pain and burning in the breasts or the area surrounding it. Rashes can be seen near the nipples and the areas under the arms. There can be no breast cancer symptoms in the initial stage, but if you ever feel even a minute change in your breast you must give proper attention toward it.

There are different types of breast cancers which have different symptoms depending upon its type and the stage in which it lies. The rare types of breasts cancers are inflammatory breast cancer and Paget.s disease. The skin of the breast looks like a peel of orange as the pores stand out in the infected areas. The color of whole breast will change to red which can be very sore and hard to touch. All these are the inflammatory breast cancer symptoms. Sometimes the skin of the breast may be hot to touch. The symptom of Paget.s disease includes rashes on the breast. Get a regular monthly check up of your body to make sure that none of these breast cancer symptoms are developing within in you.
